Hockey Australia is pleased to announce the men’s and women’s Under-18 national teams set to represent Australia in an upcoming international series in India this May.

Both teams will travel to India for a four-match series from 10–21 May 2026, providing an invaluable opportunity for the nation’s emerging talent to gain international experience against world-class opposition.

The tour represents a key step in Hockey Australia’s high-performance pathway, with the selected athletes earning their place following strong performances at national championships and within state-based programs. The series will expose players to international touring conditions, fast-paced competition, and the challenges of playing abroad.

Importantly, the selection of these squads forms part of the long-term vision for Australian hockey, with an eye firmly on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. As this next generation of athletes continues to grow, develop and gain international experience, they are laying the foundations to become future Kookaburras and Hockeyroos on the Olympic stage.

The India series will provide both teams with the chance to build combinations, strengthen team culture, and further embed national standards, as they take important steps along the high-performance pathway.

Hockey Australia looks forward to following both teams as they take on India in what promises to be an exciting and important step in their international journeys.
