“Germany and Pakistan will provide strong competition and it’s a great opportunity to start the year in front of Australian fans.”

Tom Craig, Kookaburra #407 said the prospect of playing in front of home fans on home soil is one that has been met with excitement from the whole group.

“The group is very excited or Hobart. Playing on home soil is always really fun, its great that we can play so many games in Australia especially in a World Cup year.”

“And really cool that we have a few Tassie guys in the squad who hopefully will get a game in front of their home crowd.”

Craig said the new faces in the squad bring valuable assets to the Kookaburras style and brand of hockey.

“The new additions to the group bring heaps of energy and a real willingness to learn and a lot of speed which is pretty exciting.”

“It should make for a really exciting watch for the fans and a cool brand of Australian hockey which we’re pumped to be able to play.”
